Advanced seat reservation

Choose your favorite seat

For your convenience, we offer different seating options: priority seats at the front of the cabin, extra legroom seats with more space in front of you or regular seats at the rest of the cabin. You can select twin row or three seater on Airbus A220-300 aircrafts.**

Seat characteristics may differ per aircraft type. Please refer to the maps below.

Terms and conditions

  • Seat reservation is available on airBaltic-operated flights only. Fees are per passenger, per flight segment. Economy BASIC ticket holders can reserve a seat for a fee. Economy CLASSIC ticket holders are entitled to regular seat reservation free of charge. Economy FLEX ticket holders are entitled to seat reservation free of charge (except extra legroom seats). BUSINESS, Business EXPERIENCE ticket holders and airBaltic Club VIP members are entitled to seat reservation free of charge. For airBaltic Club Executive members free seat reservation (except extra legroom seats) is currently available only during the flight booking process.
  • Passengers with reduced mobility and their assistants can reserve seats free of charge before the flight by calling the toll-free number +3716700 6006 or by filling in the form “Other”.
  • Customers can reserve seats at airBaltic.com when making a reservation, via Manage your booking, during online check-in or by contacting us.
  • If you do not select your seat, you will be assigned one at random at check-in.
  • Once purchased, seats are non-refundable and non-transferable to other flights, routes and/or passengers. However, you may change your seat for particular flight during check-in. Please note that additional fee may apply.
  • Please note that when reserving the seat you primarily choose seat category and characteristics. We will do our best to seat you on your preferred seat number. However, due to operational reasons, changes may occur. In such cases, we will first try to reseat you within your selected seat category and characteristics. The above seat maps illustrate seat categories and characteristics depending on the aircrafts we operate with. Please pay attention that some seats may have specific characteristics (for example: non-reclining, suitable for passengers with special needs etc).
  • You can see aircraft type information under Flight details link during booking process or in your booking information upon booking retrieve via Manage your booking.
  • Seat category refers to the area of seating by rows. We have three seat categories that are ranked by the price from highest to lowest: Extra legroom, Priority, Regular.
  • Seat characteristics refer to the type of seat. We have seats in twin or triple seating as well as window, middle and aisle seats.
  • Seat category and seat characteristics are combined. It means that reallocation must happen within the same or higher category and with the same characteristics.
  • Please note that the partition between the business and economy class may shift according to demand.
  • Passengers must meet specific criteria to be seated at the emergency row seats, as these passengers will be expected to assist with the opening of the emergency door in the unlikely event of an evacuation. The criteria are:
    • 15 years of age or older,
    • not travelling with an infant, child, or pet,
    • not expecting a baby,
    • able to speak and understand English,
    • willing and able to help in the event of an emergency,
    • capable of lifting 23 kilograms
    • no extension for seat belt needed.
  • Airport agents and cabin crew have the sole discretion to determine whether a passenger meets the requirements to sit in the emergency exit row seat. If the passenger turns out not meet the requirements, an alternative seat will be assigned, and the seat reservation fee will not be refunded.
  • If you have booked an emergency exit row seat, but no longer meet the requirements for sitting in the emergency exit row seat, please contact airBaltic at least 48 hours before your flight to apply for a refund.
  • We will do our best to provide the seats you reserve. However, we might adjust seat assignment in case of disruption, aircraft change or due to operational, safety and security reasons. In case of involuntary seat change, you will be eligible for refund options.
  • Please note that you are entitled to refund for advanced seat reservation in cases when:
    • There is an aircraft change and airBaltic is unable to offer you alternative seat within the same or higher seat category and with the same characteristics.
    • There is a flight disruption causing you to be moved to another flight and airBaltic is unable to offer you alternative seat within the same or higher seat category and with the same seat characteristics on your new flight;
    • There is a need to reseat the passengers, for example, due to aircraft weight and balance reasons or in other cases, and as a result, you are allocated to another seat within lower seat category or with different seat characteristics or you do not seat together with your family/friends as per your original seat reservation. For example: your original seat is Priority window seat 7A and you have been moved to 16F (Regular window seat) or 8D (Priority aisle seat). Please refer to the seating map for reference.
  • Please note that you are not entitled to any refund for advanced seat reservation in cases when:
    • Seat reservation is included in the flight fare for Economy CLASSIC, Economy FLEX, Business EXPERIENCE and BUSINESS tickets and you have been moved from your initially reserved seat.
    • You are entitled to seat reservation as a result of your airBaltic Club status (VIP) and you have been moved from your initially reserved seat.
    • You are allocated to another seat keeping the same or higher seat category – Extra leg space, Priority, Regular. For example, your original seat is Priority seat 05C and you have been moved to Priority seat 11C (it is the reallocation within the same category) or your original seat is Regular 18A and you have been moved to Priority 11A (it is the reallocation with upgrade to higher category).
    • You are allocated to another seat keeping the same characteristics - twin vs triple seating; window, middle or aisle seats. For example, your original seat is window seat 15F and you have been moved to 29F (it is the same window seat within the same Regular category).
