Travel Insurance

We’ve partnered with XCover.com to give you peace of mind so you can travel stress-free. Simply add travel insurance when booking your flight with us and travel confidently.

Depending on your chosen policy, your travel insurance may include:

  • Urgent or unplanned medical treatment and expenses
  • Reimbursement of trip costs if you have to cancel or cut short your trip due to illness or injury, including COVID-19
  • Baggage and personal belonging cover

To understand exactly what’s covered for your specific trip, it’s always best to read through your policy documents before you buy. You can check the policy wording when booking your flights on airBaltic.com and the documents are always available after you purchase, just look out for emails from our partner, XCover.com.

  • You can book this service while purchasing your tickets on airBaltic.com
  • After purchase, you can view your policy wording at any time by logging in to your XCover Account
  • To make a claim visit xcover.com/claim
  • If your coverage includes emergency assistance or other medical cover, you can contact your dedicated  24/7 medical assistance service, XCover Assist, which is available in multiple languages. You can find the emergency phone number within the policy wording in your XCover Account

Terms and conditions of XCover.com

  • Passenger will receive a confirmation email and policy within 24 hours of purchase.
  • There will be one main policy holder (first passenger added in booking) even if several passengers are covered. The main policy holder will receive airBaltic club points (5 points per each EUR spent) for the whole purchase if a member number is added during booking process.
  • Passenger can cancel purchased travel insurance within 14 days of purchase but no later than 48 hours before the planned departure. To cancel your policy please email cover@airbaltic.com. A full refund will be given providing no claims have been made and the trip has not started. After 14 days of the purchase date your policy is non-refundable and non-changeable.
  • If policy covers more than one passenger, cancelling policy will affect all passengers and full refund will be given providing no claims have been made and the trip has not started.
  • In case of flight change that causes flight date change or trip cancellation by airline, policy will be cancelled and full amount paid will be refunded.
  • In case of ticket partial payment, same rules for travel insurance apply. You have 14 days from the purchase date to cancel your policy. A full refund will be given providing you have made no claims and your trip has not started. After 14 days from the purchase date your policy is non-refundable and non-changeable.
  • If “freeze my price” service is purchased, travel insurance will not be offered.

 

Personal data processing

  • Please, be aware that if you choose the service of Travel Insurance offered by Cover Genius (Cover Genius Europe, B.V., KvK number 73237426, Bergvliet 6, 1391RN Abcoude, the Netherlands), then for the purpose of conclusion and execution of the agreement between you and Cover Genius, you authorize airBaltic to deliver to Cover Genius the following Personal data: Name, Surname, e-mail address and PNR number (booking reference number). Cover Genius is considered as a separate Personal data controller and service provider and their privacy rules are included in the agreement concluded between you and Cover Genius, as well as website of Cover Genius.
  • Please, get acquainted with the service and privacy rules before choosing the service. Cover Genius is responsible to deliver service to you pursuant to the rules of the agreement concluded between you and the Cover Genius.
