Flight cancellation option

You can purchase an option to receive a full refund of your ticket in the form of an airBaltic gift card in case you wish to cancel your booking. A non-refundable fee for the flight cancellation option starts from €14.99 per passenger per direction and depends on the booking class.

You will be able to use your gift card while booking your next flight on airBaltic.com or as a form of payment for tickets and / or extra services contact us. Gift card will be valid for one year (for both – redemption and travel) from its issuing date.

Terms and conditions

  • This service can be purchased only at the time of booking economy class tickets Economy BASIC and Economy CLASSIC on airBaltic.com or while booking flights via contacting us.
  • The fee for the flight cancellation option depends on the booking class and ticket type. The fee starts from €14.99. The max. fee is €29.99.
  • With this service, passengers can receive a full refund of the whole booking (flight + taxes + fuel surcharge + other airBaltic extras bought together with a flight ticket, except service fees or fees for additional services (service fee, date change fee, name change fee) and partner services) only in the form of an airBaltic gift card.
  • If a round-trip ticket is purchased with a cancellation option for only one direction and it is submitted for a refund, the value of the other portion of the ticket will be recalculated to reflect the price of a one-way ticket together with the added service fees and additional services, and the remaining difference will be refunded.
  • If a passenger has booked a round-trip flight, one way is flown, but the return is submitted for a refund, the value of the used portion of the ticket will be recalculated to reflect the price of a one-way ticket together with additional services, and the remaining difference will be refunded.
  • Refunds are issued for flights together with added additional services. Refunds cannot be issued only for additional services separately.
  • If there is more than one passenger in the booking, each passenger that has purchased cancellation option can cancel his flight separately.
  • If the flight cancellation warranty is added to a booking that has been purchased with airBaltic Club flight e-voucher in case of booking’s cancellation paid airport taxes and any additional services will be refunded in a form of airBaltic gift card and a new airBaltic Club flight e-voucher of the same type will be issued. Please note that newly issued airBaltic gift card and the new airBaltic Club flight e-voucher will be valid for one year from the date of gift card’s/flight e-voucher’s issuance (travel and redemption period).
  • In order to receive full refund (flight + taxes + fuel surcharge + other services bought together with flight ticket) in form of airBaltic gift card, the booking must be cancelled 24 HOURS PRIOR to the scheduled departure time stated on your booking confirmation.
  • Flight cancellation request must be submitted via the Online payment form or, if there are less than 72 hours until the flight, by calling our Call centre.
  • To receive a full ticket refund as a gift card, please select it as the preferred refund in your application form. If you choose the refund in the same way you paid for the reservation, it will be refunded according to the ticket rules, and only unused airport taxes will be refunded.
