Sports equipment

Multiple types of sports equipment can be transported on airBaltic flights.

Sports equipment fees vary per set per one-way journey for Economy BASIC, Economy CLASSIC and Economy FLEX ticket holders:

  • from €39.99 while booking tickets on airBaltic.com; bicycle transportation - €44.99.
  • €44.99 while paying online via Manage your booking or the Online payment form; bicycle transportation - €49.99.
  • €45 via other sales channels (e.g. agencies or ticket offices); bicycle transportation - €50.
  • €75 at the airport.

Types of sports equipment you may transport on airBaltic flights:

Terms and conditions

  • The sports equipment transportation fees are non-refundable.
  • Sports equipment allowance can be booked online if all flights in the itinerary are operated by airBaltic. It is possible to book up to 5 sets of sports equipment per passenger (sets could be of the same type or various types).
  • The maximum weight allowance for each set of sports equipment is 23 kg. Each set of equipment must be packed in one baggage unit (if not stated differently) otherwise the sports equipment fee will be charged per piece of equipment. If the weight of the sports equipment set exceeds 23 kg, passengers will be charged a € 60 heavy baggage fee. This charge is applied per set, not per kg. The charge is collected only at airports. The maximum weight of one set of sports equipment is 32 kg.
  • Only a limited number of sets of sports equipment can be accepted on each flight therefore anyone wishing to transport sports equipment should declare it in advance.
  • Business class ticket holders and airBaltic Club VIP members can transport one set of sports equipment free of charge.
